EVIDENCE BASED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES

Have the courage to seek the support you need!

WHO WE ARE

Insightful Being Clinical Psychology is based on Sydney’s North Shore.

Stephanie Hill is a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who is passionate about supporting clients to overcome their challenges and create insight into why they think, feel, and act the way they do. This helps clients turn towards acceptance of the things that are out of their control, and to instead focus their efforts on the ways they can create meaningful change.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Hons), a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). She is experienced and trained in a number of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT),  Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) and Maudsley Family Based Treatment (FBT).

Stephanie is a warm, empathetic, therapist. She genuinely believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, with evidence showing that this relationship is often more important than the specific approach or interventions used.

Stephanie recognises that helping people feel safe to be vulnerable, and thus to open up about deeper issues is often at the heart of change. She works from a trauma-informed lense, and also has a grounding in psychodynamic and attachment-based theories. She is always curious and interested in helping clients to better understand ongoing or longer-term patterns of behaviours that may link back to childhood origins, past wounds, or unmet needs.
